We are looking for a Gore Fabrics Digital Training Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with digital champions, project management, change management and subject matter experts to determine the needs of stakeholders impacted by the change, help determine deployment approach and methods (coaching, self-paced learning, instructor-led learning, eLearning), and plan and deliver needed training materials (job aids, on-line help, user guides, self-study guides, supporting webpages, etc.) and communications pre and post training. The Digital Training Specialist will track training success based on agreed on metrics related to adoption of business processes and digital solutions.
This position will be located at our facility in Elkton. Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs analysis to identify, define, and evaluate training needs of stakeholders
- Define learning objectives and design course assessments, curriculum, and training deliverables to meet all objectives
- Ensure training plan is fully executed and successfully implemented, including all training, presentations, and content production
- Coordinate planning activities to meet objectives and timelines of overall program or project. Forecast required time and resources, provides status reports, and follows established methodology. Independently prioritizes the completion of tasks and resolution of issues to ensure compliance to project deliverables
- Work closely with digital teams and subject matter experts to acquire an in-depth knowledge of the system, including system transactions and the business processes related to the system, and end-user experiences. Apply in-depth knowledge in all phases of training and communication development (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation)
- Work with Instructional Designer to engage in activities for role based learning and broad learning opportunities; coordinate training purpose and content with instructional designer to enable development of training content that is fit for purpose
- Schedule and deliver training or arrange for SME to deliver
- Develop adoption metrics and other methods of measuring the success of training
- Maintain all appropriate documentation, such as status reports, evaluations, metrics, project management cases, and best practices and incorporate user feedback into updating trainings
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in learning, psychology, certificate in instructional design, IT systems learning or related area of study
- Minimum of 3 years of experience creating and performing training, leveraging learning management software and tools
- Experience creating and executing learning profiles in a corporate environment
- Experience evaluating training effectiveness
- Knowledge of digital adoption platforms, user guidance tools, and e-learning technologies
- Actively demonstrates Gore’s guiding principles and fosters an environment of inclusion, authenticity, and humility
- Communicate directly and effectively with Associates to resolve challenges regardless of their role or difference of opinion
- Associate has demonstrated the ability to adapt to changing conditions and a track record of delivering outstanding results in new and tough situations
- Ability to travel 5%
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with an ERP, Manufacturing systems, PLM, CRM implementation, and/or other major system implementations
- Experience creating engaging training content and documentation for software applications and systems (ie, instructional design experience)
