    The Talent and Learning Specialist moves the recruiting process forward efficiently and provides assistance to hiring managers. This role also provides direct support and serves as a facilitator and trainer for Learning and Development.

    Learning:

    • Provide administrative support for the learning management system (LMS),
      • Facilitate assessments/outcomes.
      • Update the materials for the eLearning library.
      • Measure and report talent metrics
      • Educate and train end users in the relevant systems and provide administrative support for the activities of the learning management system
    • Administer training records, overseeing all entries for accuracy and current record keeping.
    • Manage the eLearning library of learning assets, including accessing eLearning online resources (Goodwill U), activate new courses, update content, and maintain the library catalog system.
    • Review assessment tools and systems, e. g. input employee information, administer assessments, distribute reports, maintain system records.
      • Manage requests involving the LMS or eLearning and provide support to all employees for accessing learning services in the LMS or eLearning library.
    • Prepare reports of learning metrics to support sustainability and talent acquisition goals.

    Performance Management

    • Provide support for the Performance and Development end user support during the active periods of the performance management cycle.
    • Prepare or update reference guides and training materials for using the performance system and maintain the Gig site of resource materials.
    • Facilitate manager trainings

    Talent Acquisition:

    • Move the recruitment process forward quickly and efficiently and provide assistance to hiring managers.
    • Facilitate pre-employment screening, schedule interviews, conduct background checks and complete all follow up processes and documentation.
    • Administer the offer and pre-employment processes for selected candidates.
    • Manage and update the talent acquisition systems including applicant tracking system, calendaring system etc.
    • Collaborate with the People Resources team and leadership on continuous improvement and value-added processes and projects.
    • Provide regular reporting of recruiting metrics to support Talent Acquisition goals.
    • Attend job fairs upholding the Goodwill Brand and Core Values.
      • Appropriately set-up the vendor table
      • Uphold all document tracking of materials for review and metrics to support return on investment.
      • Provide on-site interviews, if applicable for open positions and hard-to-fill positions.
    • Community Engagement – collaborating with external community agencies to establish pipeline/pathway access to career opportunities at Goodwill.
      • Collaborate with local organizations to support individuals within the legal justice system with a focused effort on reducing recidivism.
      • Establish and maintain collaborative efforts with Rochester City School District Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.
      • Identify and coordinate paid internship opportunities in collaboration with department leaders

     


    Requirements
    :

    Associates degree, or 1-3 years professional work in human resources recruitment, community engagement, or other related field of practice.

    Prior experience with LMS and applicant tracking systems (i.e. ADP, PeopleSoft, Brainshark, Reflections Software). Good understanding of HR functions and best practices. Exposure to labor law, employment equity regulations. Customer- focused with ability to interact effectively with all levels, internal and external

    Working knowledge and experience with equity, diversity and inclusion preferred.
