Allied Universal® is hiring an Instructional Designer that will develop and design training programs in a variety of media required to meet the demands of Allied Universal’s employees. Training programs are developed taking into consideration: geographical location, educational background, client-specific needs, and federal, state, local, or industry-specific regulations regarding the training of security personnel. This position will have the opportunity to be on a hybrid basis located out of our Headquarters East office in Conshohocken, PA. Pay: $60,000 – $64,000 per year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with the Director of Talent Management and the Sr. Vice President of Training & Talent Development, designs and develops training courses (instructor-led, eLearning, mLearning) and management development programs designed to support learning initiatives, both corporately and in support of field operations and clients. Utilizes business acumen and adult learning theory to design/develop learning solutions for high-impact projects. Tests/troubleshoots course functionality on the EDGE. Updates and provides maintenance to courses as needed. (70%)
- Communicates with project team members, SMEs, stakeholders, and other partners in a way that builds relationships and ensures work phases are progressing per agreed to deliverables/timelines. Consults with these internal customers to capture course-specific knowledge, make design/content edits, gain approval, or update courses. Works with the Marketing/Legal departments to get content approval. (10%)
- Works with vendors (specifically LMS and mobile) to solve any current problems/prepare for updates or changes. Meets with prospective vendors and helps determine training-related solutions to best fit the Learning and Development department and AUS. Manages the relationships between training vendors and AUS. (10%)
- Researches for content for new course development and also for eLearning assets (graphics, fonts, templates, audio, video, etc.). (5%)
- Meet weekly, monthly, quarterly, and/or yearly objectives and perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or (5%)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent College degree or coursework desirable.
- Minimum 2 years of professional-level experience required.
- Prior experience in design is a must-have
- Microsoft Office Suite: (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Articulate Suite: (Storyline, Rise 360)
- File-Sharing Tools: (SharePoint, Google Drive)
- Graphic Design and Animation Tools: Vyond, Powtoon
- Learning Management Systems (a plus but not requirement)
