    Position Summary
    We are looking for an Instructional Designer to create effective and accessible learning experiences. The main focus of this position is developing eLearning courses, creating videos, and leading instructor-led courses for the global Teleflex workforce. The content will primarily center around developing the soft skills of Teleflex employees, such as how to be a better manager, use their time more efficiently, or teach a new business policy.
    Principal Responsibilities
    • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and understanding, including:

     Research, design and create eLearning courses in Storyline and Rise.
     Design and produce instructional videos using animation, screen captured footage, and/or live footage.
     Write, record and edit narration audio.
     Facilitate instructor-led courses and presentations, virtually and in-person.

    • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs.
    • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them.
    • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product.
    • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.
    • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
    • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment material.
    • Maintain project documentation and course folders.
    Education / Experience Requirements
    • 1+ years or equivalent of experience in instructional design, program development, e‐Learning, instructional technology, or related business.
    • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar preferred
    • Experience with visual design and storyboarding using Photoshop, Illustrator or similar.
    • Create instructional videos and screencasts using Adobe After Effects, Camtasia or similar.
    • Record and edit narration audio using Audacity, Adobe Audition or similar.
    • Edit PDFs using Adobe Acrobat or similar.
    • Create eLearning content using Articulate Storyline, Rise or equivalent.
    • Basic HTML knowledge preferred.
    • Experience with at least one Learning Management System preferred.
    • Fluency in English is an essential requirement.
    Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
    • Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
    • Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
    • Write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts, including the ability to explain technical concepts in easily understood language.
    • Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment required.
    • Portfolio with work samples of eLearning courses and video is REQUIRED.
