    Solers Research Group, Inc., headquartered in Central Florida, provides sound instructional design in the development of training system products for the Department of Defense, Federal and State governments, and commercial organizations. We are looking for a Lectora Inspire proficient e-Learning Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) for design/development of interactive multimedia instruction (IMI) / web-based training (WBT), instructor led training (ILT), virtual ILT, video, and job performance aids. Tasking will include design and development of learning content and curriculum to support the instructional strategy provided by a Lead ISD and/or government ISD.

    Specific requirements: This position supports instructional design requirements for FDIC Corporate University (CU).

    FDIC CU requires e-Learning instructional designers to collaborate with CU internal ISDs to meet multiple design and development goals in support of the corporate university mission.

    Education: Master’s degree in Instructional Design or equivalent in Education, Training, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience may be acceptable substitute for education requirement.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience as an ISD in an e-Learning/ADDIE team environment.
    • Candidates MUST have current experience with and be highly proficient with Lectora Inspire/Lectora 21. Candidates not meeting this requirement need not apply and will not be considered.

    Skills

    For consideration for the position, the candidate should ensure they can:

    • Demonstrate experience in all of the following:
      • Technical writing
      • Converting existing course materials
      • Multimedia technology
      • Authoring tools
      • Web-based course development
      • Visual design
    • Demonstrated ability in:
      • MS Word-proficient with advanced features of MS Word, including ability to format tables, use styles, insert, and format headers and footers, create and update tables of contents, insert and remove page and section breaks, use field codes, and work with macros
      • MS PowerPoint-proficient with advanced features of MS PowerPoint, including use of slide masters, layouts, placeholders, layering, image manipulation and creation, and animation
      • MS Excel-proficient with MS Excel, including data entry, formatting, sorting, and filtering
      • Basic graphics manipulation (resize and crop jpeg/png, create graphics using MS PPT and export as jpeg/png)

    Requirements:

    As a candidate you must be able to:

    • Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods (including ADDIE) to curriculum design and development
    • Create content that matches instructional learning objectives and meets technical standards
    • Visualize engaging elements to apply when developing instructional scenarios, storyboards, and training modules for courseware products
    • Apply 508 requirements to all products (e-learning, electronic files—to include electronic printable materials, video closed captioning; work within a SCORM package, test course ware within an LMS during Beta and Pilot tests, and support testing with SMEs and control groups
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Apply quality standards across all deliverables
    • Work within previously developed templates
    • Present professional level of customer service and appearance to all – internal and external customers’
    • Work from a schedule, track progress, and report on status
    • Collaborate with virtual teams, internal and external to the company
    • Pass an I-9 check and a background check
