    This requisition is for a potential opportunity contingent upon contract award and completion of drug and background check requirements. U.S. Citizenship is required.
    The Naval Instructional Designer will support a high-profile and challenging project for the U.S. Navy. You will develop design guides, lesson strategies, and assessments in this position. You will create IMI III online lessons, video scripts, and support materials. If you are a tech-savvy self-starter who prides yourself on meeting deadlines, apply now!     In this role, you will:
    • Lead projects.
    • Consult with clients to identify new requirements and strategies.
    • Work with a design team of instructional designers, media specialists, programmers, quality control specialists, subject matter experts, and project and program managers to design and create new training.
    • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the ADDIE models and instructional design processes.
    • Foster design innovation.
    • Participate in visual design, prototyping, usability testing, and evaluation.
    • Review products throughout analysis, design, and development to ensure sensible course flow and compliance with style guidelines and standards.
    • Work under the supervision of the project manager or lead instructional designer to develop and document instructor-led, paper-based, and online curricula or performance support solutions.
    • Design and develop SCORM conformant and 508-compliant eLearning courseware and training materials.

    Qualifications:

    To be successful in this role, you will have:
    • United States Citizenship and the ability to obtain a NACI clearance.
    • Prior US Navy or other US Military experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Eight (8) years of experience with eLearning design and development and adult learning theory.
    • Demonstrated ability with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Working knowledge of at least one development tool (e.g., Lectora, Captivate, Storyline) – experience with AIM or MELD is helpful.
    • Broad knowledge in the field of human-computer interaction and performance-centered design.
    • The ability to present complex information clearly to a disbursed online audience.
    • Demonstrated utilization of the ADDIE mode.l
    • Strong writing and oral communication skills.
    • Strong presentation, facilitation, interpersonal, and client interaction skills
    • Meticulous attention to detail, quality assurance, and editing skills.
    • The ability to prioritize and make good decisions with minimal supervision.
    • Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    • 10% travel required.
    Additional desired experience and skills:
    • Active NACI or DoD Secret clearance.
