Moodle 4.1 – the latest LTS version of Moodle LMS was released few weeks back. The new Moodle 4.1 is packed with a lot of exciting new features with a focus on improving the User experience and making it easier for educators. Many such improvements include the Database activity, Gradebook, Inline Question editing, integration of TinyMCE editor and many more.
Now, after the release of Moodle 4.1, the Moodle HQ development team is working towards many more new features in upcoming Moodle versions. During the MoodleMoot Global 2022, Barry van Oudtshoorn – Moodle Platform manager presented about the upcoming features in Moodle.
The new features as highlighted by Barry during his presentations includes:
- Site and Course templates
- Better blank page experience
- TinyMCE will be set as default editor
- More messaging integrations with plugins
- Matrix Integration
- Research on course hierarchy
- Bulk editing course activities
- Moodlenet integration
- UX improvements for Quiz, Gradebook etc.
