Moodle Users Association – Ordering Question type coming to Moodle core in future

-

Moodle Users Association – the community arm of the Moodle LMS has been running the January-June 2023 project development cycle. As we reported earlier, the final voting cycle for this project cycle was ongoing. Now, the voting period is ended and the project for this cycle has been finalized.

In the current project development cycle – the Moodle users Association (MUA) members voted the following projects in the final round:

  1. Add the Ordering question type (qtype_ordering) into Moodle core – 31696
  2. Show information for teachers about submissions on the course main page in the Boost theme – 31279
  3. Allow Activity Completion Settings for Topics/Weeks – 28863
  4. Allow session stores to fully manage the session ==> never touch mdl_sessions table! – 13393
  5. Improve availability of activities and resources overview pages in Boost theme – 3869

So, the final voting leads to have the Ordering Question type in the Moodle core in upcoming Moodle released. The Moodle Users Association is a non-profit entity to support the growth of Moodle, the open-source online learning platform, by providing a strong and united voice to users, giving direction and resources for new developments.

Inclusion of Ordering Question type will be a welcoming news for many educators as it is one of the most downloaded and actively maintained Moodle plugins.
