Moodle Teachers - What is Course participation Report?

Moodle LMS is one of the most flexible and customizable open-source Learning Management System (LMS) in the world. You can customize as per your institutional requirements. Apart from the multiple teaching activities, Moodle also offers multiple reports to help you as a teacher. In this post we will see how you can use the Course participation report in Moodle.

In a Moodle Course, you can create learning resources for your students as well as setup the course view by choosing appropriate course format. But what if all the work students are not going through the course activities. Luckily, Moodle has few reports built in which can be helpful for you as an educator.

The Course Participation report is one of such report in Moodle core which can help you figure out a list of who has participated in each activity, and how many times. The best thing in that the report is based on single activity and gives you the option to send message to students who have not completed the activity.

How to get the Course Participation Report

The course participation report can be generated by a manager, teacher, or non-editing teacher. You need to navigate to your Course > Reports > Course Participation.

  • Allow individuals or groups students (e.g. those who have not participated) to be easily messaged.
