Moodle LMS – the most popular open source Learning Management System (LMS) will soon get a new Advisory Group. As announced few days earlier, the Moodle HQ team has initiated the Product Advisory Group (PAG) for the Moodle LMS.

Yesterday, the first kickoff meeting for the Moodle PAG was organized by Moodle HQ team – Brett Dalton & Matt Porritt. During the PAG Kickoff meeting there were around 40 participants from all around the globe.

In the Moodle LMS PAG Kickoff meeting, Moodle HQ team explained the objectives & scope for the Product Advisory Group. They also explained the reason to shift from Moodle Users Association to PAG and the transition plan.

The key outcomes of the PAG kickoff meeting are:

  • Fundraising via crowdfunding will start from early 2024
  • MUA project development cycles will continue till Moodle 4.5 release.
  • All PAG communications will be cross posted in both the PAG course and MUA site during the transition period to ensure all MUA members have visibility of activity
  • PAG meetings will be held every 8 weeks in rotating time zones.

For all those who have missed to attend the PAG Kickoff meeting, you can watch the recording of the meeting here and go through the slide deck here.
