Moodle 4.1 QA testing commences – Know how you can contribute

-

Moodle 4.1 – the upcoming Long Term Release Version of Moodle LMS is coming closer to release. After the code freeze on October 17, the QA testing has commenced for Moodle 4.1 version. The LTS version is scheduled to be released on November 28.

The Quality Assurance tests look at the functionality of Moodle from a user’s point of view. Real Moodle Users go through each feature in Moodle and ensure that it works in the current version of the Moodle code.

How you can contribute to Moodle QA testing?

Moodle always encourages community participation for all the software development processes. As a Moodle user, you can also participate in the QA testing for Moodle 4.1 version. You will also earn a badge for your contribution in the QA testing process.

All you need is an account on Moodle.org and Moodle Tracker. You can immediately start running tests. Just Go to the Moodle QA testing dashboard and choose a test from the list of current QA cycle open issues. Then, check out the functionality and if it is working according to the steps mentioned then mark the test as Passed or Fail accordingly.

You can follow this Moodle QA Testing to understand the full QA process. For any questions you can join the Moodle QA Telegram chat room or Moodle QA chat room on Matrix.

Check out the Moodle 4.1 development site to start the QA testing cycle.
