    The CDK Learning Services team is growing and we’re looking for an experienced instructional designer (Sr. Learning Experience Designer) to join our team to help us transform the way people buy, sell and service cars.

    With over 40 years of experience, CDK Global is the largest provider of automotive dealership solutions including retailing, CRM, financing, parts and services, IT infrastructure, and data insights.

    Role:

    As a Sr. Learning Experience Designer (LXD), you will be a key member of the CDK Learning Services team with the responsibility of designing workflow-based learning with a focus on learner outcomes. You will use your knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to design and deploy compelling content to help drive adoption of our software.

     

    In this role you will:

    • Build relationships and collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and other team members.
    • Participate in project meetings, research training content, and conduct interviews to better understand audience needs and instructional deliverables.
    • Design engaging interactions and learning interventions that are focused on audience performance and engagement.
    • Develop eLearning and instructor-led learning interventions that are visually appealing, concise, and easy to understand.
    • Create eLearning content using development tools such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, and Microsoft Office applications, and adapts to new software and learning techniques as needed.
    • Demonstrate an energetic and inclusive learning approach that captivates your learners.
    • Structure engagement activities (questions, polls, role play, hands-on practice) to accommodate the needs of the audience.
    • Continually work to ensure all training materials are consistent and up-to-date and in line with products and larger training goals and initiatives.
    • Provide feedback on curriculum and act as a subject matter expert to partner with development of new learning content.
    • Act as a mentor to peers and aid in driving project deliverables at the direction of the training manager
    • Analyze and communicate the impact and consequences of training delivery including reviewing attendance reports, learner surveys, and direct learner feedback.
    • Continually expand your knowledge of CDK solutions and upskill to train additional courses as assigned.
    • Stay up to date with training and education trends and look for ways to innovate

     

    You may be a fit for this role if you have:

    • BS, BA or Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Instructional Design, Training Development, or related field.
    • At least 5+ years’ experience in training development, elearning creation, corporate training, or a directly related field.
    • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and processes (ADDIE, SAM), adult learning theory, and learning facilitation best practices
    • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following tools:
      • Articulate Storyline
      • Articulate RISE
      • Adobe Captivate
      • Camtasia
    • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) course administration

     

    You get extra-credit if you have any of the following:

    • You have worked in a fast-paced, software as a service (SAS) environment.
    • You have experience translating course material into French.
    • Automotive experience including service, sales, finance, and/or accounting.

     

    Salary Range:

    $80,000.00 – 95,000.00

Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
