    About the Position
    As a Sr. Instructional Designer at Redwood you will lead, participate, and contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum and content development strategies, plans and processes. You must understand business/product objectives and recommend effective learning solutions to meet business goals, enhance learning effectiveness and increase satisfaction.
    Responsibilities
    • Develops and presents learning program plans to key stakeholders for approval, including resource needs and realistic timelines
    • Reviews, assesses, and interprets technical documents and existing course material used for developing new instructional materials
    • Manages multiple learning programs projects, participates in learning needs analysis, curriculum mapping, design, writing, development, testing, implementation, and evaluation of all training materials
    • Leads curriculum design, instructional design, content writing and hands-on exercise development for blended learning programs
    • Designs and develops cutting edge, engaging and interactive eLearning lessons
    • Develops and utilizes storyboards to record, edit and test audio and video files for eLearning lessons
    • Exercises sound judgment when determining appropriate learning solutions, training delivery methods and evaluation criteria, based on inputs, objectives and desired outcome
    • Designs curriculums and develops content structure, courses, lessons, learning objectives and assessment questions to effectively transfer and validate knowledge
    • Acts as learning management system team lead and administrator responsible for functionality, usability and ongoing improvements to Redwood University (Talent LMS)
    • Collaborates closely with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, management, and other parts of the overall business
    • Successfully leads training program teams, while managing simultaneous projects
    • Develops, updates and documents team processes, procedures and templates as we design, develop, deliver and implement our training
    • Utilizes a customer-focused (internal and/or external) approach to problem solving
    • Actively develops Redwood product knowledge, and participates in product readiness activities to stay abreast of product enhancements and impact to training deliverables
    Qualifications
    • BS, MA or MS degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or similar
    • 8-10 years of progressive Instructional Design experience in a corporate training environment; Experience with similar industry and customer-facing, software product training preferable
    • Demonstrated knowledge of applied adult learning theory, instructional design, assessments, and learning management system capabilities (Adobe Prime and Talent LMS)
    • Exceptional project management and leadership skills to successfully multitask, set priorities, and meet timelines
    • Advanced knowledge and experience with multimedia development tools such as Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Cloud and Camtasia
    • Proven ability to design and develop dynamic, engaging, eLearning and hands-on exercises that incorporate effective learning principles for an optimum learning experience
    • Experience with developing high-stakes product certification exams for customer audiences
    • Strong interpersonal skills including proven ability to collaborate with teams and individuals at all organizational levels and global regions
    • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to see larger picture and details
    • Experience in a growth organization where quick thinking and flexibility to change are essential
    • Passion to test and try new ways of developing and sharing learning content
    • Advanced proficiency as an LMS Admin (Adobe Prime and Talent LMS) a strong plus
    • Experience with Salesforce and learning technology integrations a strong plus
