We are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in service of our mission of developing innovative, principled, and insightful leaders who change lives, change organizations, and change the world. We invite you to be part of this mission.

Join a creative and talented team that is working to shape the future of teaching and learning at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). As part of the Learning Design and Technology (LDT) team within the Teaching and Learning Hub, the Senior Instructional Technologist and Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator will play a vital role in leading projects to incorporate technology into teaching and learning at the GSB. LDT designs, develops, and supports solutions to provide meaningful, equitable, and inclusive learning, increased student engagement, and a smooth instructional experience. The team works on academic programs (MBA, MSx, PhD), as well as Executive Education and other public-facing programs.

As a senior instructional technologist and LMS administrator, you will apply instructional design methodologies to provide expertise and support in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses. You will administer and provide technical support for learning platforms used by the GSB (e.g., Canvas, NovoEd) as well as additional technology that may integrate with existing platforms. You will work closely with faculty, learning experience designers, instructional technologists, software developers, and the Associate Director, Academic Technologies at the GSB’s Knight Management Center. You will help foster the school’s world-class learning by promoting the signature GSB learning experience and helping faculty excel in the classroom.

The successful candidate will be excited to collaborate with other team members in projects and consultations that support faculty in their teaching. In addition to demonstrating effectiveness in assessing educational technology needs and creative problem solving, you have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You are flexible with projects and willing to pivot if needs shift unexpectedly or with time.

    • Actively encourage and support the use of computer-based tools by developing and implementing new tools and resources for instructors or students, assisting them with the tools, disseminating knowledge of these tools throughout the program or university, and creating and supporting an infrastructure that allows use of the tools in teaching and/or learning.
    • Coordinate academic learning technology policies, procedures, and support.
    • Initiate and lead projects to develop innovative uses of technology for student learning and/or community building. Consult on development of software applications, or work with on- or off-campus resources to develop or adapt software solutions.
    • Consult with and help instructors and/or departments to incorporate technologies into faculty course design and curricula and/or co-curricula in support of student learning goals.
    • Provide expertise and support in applying instructional design methodologies to the development, implementation, and evaluation of face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses.
