The EF Tours People Team is seeking a creative, dynamic talent optimization guru who is a strong executor and passionate about accelerating the professional growth of our US sales staff within our Educational Tours (ET) department. Reporting to the Director of Learning & Development, you will work closely with the sales leadership teams to elevate their people practices and create a welcoming, inclusive learning environment for new and experienced staff. In this multi-faceted role, you will partner with and coach the departments’ leaders on talent management strategies while also designing, delivering, and scaling professional skill development programs to meet the unique needs of ET US sales staff.

A Day in the Life of the Manager of Learning & Development:
- Coaching: Leverage tools such as Predictive Index (PI) and/or Gallup StrengthsFinder to support staff on an individual and team level. Support staff and the leadership team through coaching conversations around talent optimization, performance plans, and career moves.
- Facilitation: Advanced facilitation of group meetings, team building, development sessions and change management efforts in support of organizational development. You will engage learners, facilitate dialog, and deliver a variety of content in a live, virtual and eLearning setting.
- Performance Management: Manage performance review and promotion process, including coaching managers on best practices, facilitating high-impact performance conversations with staff and managers, and maintaining and strategically using performance-related data to develop talent mobility and succession plans.
- Curriculum Design/Program Management: Create and implement tools and programs to enable effective development across areas such as: Career Development, Functional Development, Performance Management and Coaching.
- Business Partnership: Partner with stakeholders across our Boston, Denver, and Austin offices, other members of the Learning & Development team and the Sales leadership teams to assess needs and provide content for learning topics, curricula, and solutions.
- Industry Trends: Partner with Learning & Development colleagues and leverage external resources to understand trends in the industry and drive change as needed within the departments to meet the needs of our current and future staff.
- Inclusion: Ensure Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in the development of the talent pipeline and develop programs to support under-represented groups in the organization.
- Analytics: Work closely with sales leadership to understand staff/team trends and develop insights from relevant analytics so that we can evaluate and improve professional development, career growth and retention strategies.
Requirements:
- While this role will not directly manage staff, the ideal candidate will have staff management, team leadership, or staff coaching experience
- 3+ years of experience in a Learning & Development or HR Business Partner role is preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Highly organized, detailed, and strong execution skills
- Experience in curriculum or program development
- Proven experience teaching, training, and coaching others to success
- Master in PowerPoint, Excel and Canva design skills are a plus
- Certification in Predictive Index or Gallup StrengthsFinder assessments are a plus

- Compensation: We will consider candidates with a wide range of experience and qualifications for this role. The compensation range for the role starts at $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- This role will be a hybrid role based in the Austin office. For interested candidates based in other locations, relocation is an option.
