    Summary:
    DHL eCommerce Solutions is seeking a dynamic professional to create and implement training materials using a variety of mediums for our operations personnel. The primary goal is to develop and implement Best in Class training that facilitates excellent operational standards, is clear, concise, simple and is suitable for Adult Learners. This role will focus on taking our training approach and content to the next level in support of our Mission to Deliver Excellence in a Digital Age: Transformational vs. Transactional content development.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Design, create and roll out compelling, innovative, effective, on-brand learning content experiences using a variety of instructional design methods such as How to Videos, Micro-Learning,
    • eLearning Modules, interactive exercises, and games.
    • Apply adult learning theory to identify appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience learning styles, course content, audience location, point within the learning process, etc.
    • Create verbally and visually engaging content by supporting and directing subject matter experts; moderating content discussion; and shaping the content provided by SMEs.
    • Maintain a measurement system to actively measure, manage, optimize, and communicate the performance of the content against the operational objectives and strategies of the company.
    • Collaborate with a variety of departments and SMEs (i.e.: Process Implementations, Compliance, HR) to understand processes, requirements, and training needs.
    • Provide upskilling of SME (Subject Matter Experts) in content authoring techniques to enable their contribution to projects.
    • Play an active role in functional meetings/calls to provide updates on learning programs, tools, and techniques.
    • Project management of learning development from conception through to delivery.
    • Fostering or taking part in learning content development forums/communities within eCS and DPDHL.
    • Develop relationship with divisional and corporate L&D leads.
    • Establish and work within a defined a budget related to all content creation.
    • Manage and direct contractors that support training content creation.
    • Own end-to-end content experience for new trainings in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment.
    • Liaise with and work with our LMS team to create curricula based on roles and ensure all content is loaded, available, assigned and tracked in our LMS: MyTalentWorld.
    • Publish and maintain a calendar of projects, timelines providing transparency to all internal customers.
    • Execute reports to track usage and completion data.

    Requirements/Skills:

    • Excellent written, creative, and verbal communication skills.
    • Advanced level in Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
    • Highly organized and strategic thinker with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize.
    • Effective presentation and articulation skills.
    • Ability to conceptualize, develop, produce, and edit user-facing content across different forms of media.
    • Experience in developing innovative and personalized trainings and experiences to support learning and development.
    • Professional and consultative approach; confidence in dealing with people while advocating for the best solution.
    • Team player able to operate independently within specific parameters.
    • Multi-stakeholder project management with the ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
    • Willing to challenge embedded thinking or approaches.
    • Ready and prepared to communicate/escalate issues relating to areas such as cost, timeline, and quality.
    • Comfort with ambiguity, change, and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • A natural curiosity that results in continually finding better, simpler, and more effective ways to use tools and achieve results.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
    • 6 years of previous e-learning development experience.
    • 2-3 years of experience in the design and development of training programs.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Logistics industry experience a plus.
    • Experience developing eLearning (web- based training modules), technical training videos, documentation, presentations, and other training materials maintained in a Learning Management System (LMS).
    • Proven/demonstrated ability to create training courses and job aids with multi-media software tools, such as e-learning authoring, photo & video editing, and web conferencing software platforms.

    Physical Demands:

    • Able to work a range of shifts based on operational needs.
    • Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
    • Frequent standing and walking.
    • Up to 10% travel required to visit other sites.
