Operational Excellence through Learning and Standards is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to create high-quality and impactful learning for thousands of people. You will create and continuously improve learning programs to enable drivers, carriers and internal Amazon associates to keep raising the bar for quality training and education including innovating training methods and delivery. You will be responsible for developing multimedia-rich learning programs, exercises, tutorials, job aids, assessments, and other multimedia-based assets that go beyond traditional Instructor Lead Training, Virtual Instructor Lead Training, or eLearning courses using a variety of design and authoring tools.
Key job responsibilities
- Create programs that are optimized for accessibility and diversity, equity, and inclusion, utilizing a variety of learning modalities (e.g. self-directed eLearning and video, classroom or remote instructor-led activities, job aids)
- Be the voice of the learner, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of our efforts and help our team iterate and improve our programs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with subject matter experts (SME) to assist in guiding you through developing accurate and relevant content for audiences in a variety of subject areas.
- Conduct stakeholder and SME interviews to determine, recommend and document project instructional standards, learner engagement strategies and evaluation plans.
- Experiment with new learning strategies, methods, and pilot programs and maintain strong understanding of learning technology industry trends and best practices.
- Lead projects through the design lifecycle from scoping, research and analysis, design, development, launch, and analyzing impact.
- Meet timelines through all phases, communicating with key partners, and selecting appropriate measurement for successful implementation.
- Use various learning development software to present learning in a variety of ways and lengths to engage learners.
About the team
Operational Excellence through Learning and Standards is placed with Middle Mile Program Management who support thousands of carriers and drivers across the United States. We also support yard personnel moving packages and loads from inside an Amazon site yard to across the country. The nature of learner roles drives learning design to be innovative, engaging, and agile. The team is comprised of Instructional Designers who are encouraged to be creative and think outside the box. Our audience is growing and there are fantastic opportunities to support digital, blended and classroom environments.

- Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices
- Knowledge of branding guidelines and corporate identity, visual design, print and digital layout design
