Job Summary
As a Learning (Performance & Development) Specialist for AFL, you will design, develop, maintain, and deliver a variety of training programs for eLearning and classroom use. Manage the corporate Learning Management System (LMS) including making assignments, loading vendor courses, and providing training/support for other administrators. Working with internal subject matter experts you design and deliver courses and job aids that will meet the needs of AFL and its associates.
Responsibilities
- Use professional eLearning/classroom authoring software in creating and updating training modules, videos, e-learning modules, supplemental learning materials, etc.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain effective online/classroom training programs to meet departmental needs.
- Perform needs and task analysis, scope projects, and constantly evaluate the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the learning needs of each departmental audience.
- Collaborate with other associate and leadership members to provide a technical infrastructure for developing and delivering consistent training.
- Manage multiple deliverables at once.
- Select the most appropriate instructional delivery style/system and write effective copy, texts, audio, and video scripts… functional multimedia knowledge.
- Conduct needs assessments as required.
- Maintain the LMS portion of the corporate talent management system.

Qualifications
- BA/BS in Training, Communications, Instructional Design, Technical Writing, Multimedia Design, Human Resources Development, related discipline, or equivalent.
- 1-2+ years’ experience designing and developing asynchronous eLearning in at least one of various training platforms (iSpring, Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, or others).
- 2-3+ years’ experience facilitating classroom and/or synchronous webinar programs (Teams, Zoom)
- 2-3+ years’ experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS).
- 1-2 years’ experience in developing and maintaining technical and behavioral training course curriculums.
- Quickly learn new products and technologies with minimal direction
- Experience identifying the right delivery style and content level for various user audiences.
- Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Forms, Stream)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid visual design skills
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, and audio scripts/video scripts.
Working Conditions
- Normal office and manufacturing facility environment. Some travel may be required, but not frequent (<15%).
