    This position is responsible for collaborating with business units/functions/divisions to determine functional or technical learning needs in support of organizational goals. Solutions will address technical and functional skills or knowledge relating to systems, process, procedures, or workflow. Based on needs analysis, this position will work with subject matter experts to develop and implement learning solutions that measurably improve performance.

    Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Consult with department leaders, subject matter experts, and project leader to provide subject matter expertise and identify professional and leadership development opportunities at the role, team, function, or organizational level. Consult with stakeholders regarding technical/functional development as needed.
    • Design learning curriculum with a long-term view of learning needs as they relate to our strategy and Leadership Capabilities framework.
    • Maintain and update training curriculum, course material to reflect most current product/service offerings, job aids, training concepts, policies and procedures and most appropriate delivery method.
    • Facilitate Client Service new hire training, training related to system and platform enhancements within or outside of the agile environment, training related to product or service additions or enhancements, or training specific to the acquisition of new clients.
    • Identify skills or knowledge gaps during trainings and collaborate with hiring managers to implement effective strategies to close learning gaps.
    • Facilitate technical/functional, professional, or leadership development programs using sound adult learning principles. Facilitation may include but is not limited to delivery via on-site or virtual classroom/webinar methods.
    • Participate in or lead knowledge management activities such as the writing and maintaining of policies and procedures if business line appropriate.
    • Research, initiate, and manage vendor relationships for vendors that may be providing content, facilitation support, or tools and technology.
    • Evaluate modes of delivery to ensure training is engaging, practical yet impactful, and cost effective.
    • Supports and maintains the Learning Management System as needed.
    • Schedules and coordinates learning activities.
    • Create valid assessment tools to measure learning, knowledge retention, and performance.
    • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

    Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

    • A bachelor’s degree in learning and development or a related field (or the equivalent combination of education and experience).
    • Experience in a financial services, operations environment preferred.
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in building and managing eLearning and online training content using authoring tools or similar applications.
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in training facilitation and instructional design in a corporate environment, presenting complex functional and technical training.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including instructional, facilitation and presentation skills.
    • Effective project management skills.
    • Ability to proactively and independently research issues, gather evidence, and successfully work with various groups throughout organization.
    • Ability to multi-task in an ever-changing environment
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Experience in a financial services and/or operations environment preferred
    • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% per year.
