The Learning & Development Consultant plays a key role in the design, delivery and facilitation of learning and execution of strategies maximizing organizational effectiveness. This relationship-oriented consultant collaborates with business leaders and the People Strategies & Solutions team (Human Resources) to design, deliver and evaluate learning related to business initiatives, onboarding, leadership development and execution of UW Credit Union’s core values and DEI vision.
In leveraging industry learning and development best practices, they lead talent and leadership programs, enabling individuals, leaders and teams to be as successful as possible. As a detail-oriented contributor, they support the development and maximization of online and in-person learning resources, consistently evaluating learning design, delivery, and mediums to best meet organizational needs. They have responsibility for the coordination of employee and leader development and onboarding. They accomplish this by building relationships across the organization, serving as a key consultant and coach to employees and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Helps design, deliver, and create curriculum utilizing a variety of media and delivery channels effectively, maximizing use of online learning.
- Responsible for curriculum development (scoping, writing, and modifying) instructional design, content development, course delivery and facilitation, learning assessment and evaluation for employee and leadership development programs.
- Partners with Strategic People Partners (SPP)’s to maximize effectiveness of learning systems and processes ensuring an ideal end-user experience.
- Assess, design, develop, and implement best practices that support adult learning audiences with varying needs and abilities.
- Create, maintain, and coordinate training and development resources to be used by the organization to include books, videos, e-learning portals and modules, and Internet resources.
- Partners with SPPs & L&D team to design and execute learning needs assessments.
- Provides coaching to employees in the learning environment and supports managers in identifying how to apply and maximize learning from classroom to on-the-job application.
- Supports the creation and implementation of internal employee development initiatives.
- Creates metrics that assess and monitor the impact of learning, development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Evaluates results, uses findings to support ongoing development needs and continuously improve materials and approach to learning.
- Responsible for the development, maintenance, coordination, and communication of learning in the EPMS.
- Develops Rise 360 eLearning modules using text, graphics, animation, video, and audio.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Education, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of Human Resources, Organization Development, or Education experience.
- Ability to apply principles and practices of adult learning, organizational development, and design.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, trusting working relationships.
- Consulting skills and ability to support performance improvement.
- Comfortable operating in the gray and identifying the best solution among the possibilities.
- Ability to influence leaders and divisions without authority towards desired outcomes.
