    Role Description:

    The Learning & Development Instructor will be an influential member of our Human Resources team under the supervision of the Learning and Development Manager. In this role, your day to day responsibilities will be to design, deliver, implement and evaluate engaging learning experiences to achieve Safety National’s key strategies, vision and Core Values. Engaging learning experiences include in-person or virtual instructor-led courses, as well as computer based learning (eLearning courses) that meet the needs of our employees across the country. The role requires someone who can work in a collaborative work environment, adapt to change, and inspire continuous improvement. You will maintain course facilitator & participant guides keeping them up-to-date and consistent with Safety National’s internal branding. This will enable a smooth hand-off to back-up facilitators if and when they need to step in.

    Primarily, you will be managing and facilitating Safety National’s bi-weekly New Employee Onboarding, learning and facilitating current catalog items and developing new training topics for people skills, technical skills and product knowledge. This role also incorporates developing measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and utilizing the ADDIE design model when creating training materials and programs. You will also have the opportunity to create and update eLearning modules that provide additional learning opportunities for our employees.

    The ideal candidate is someone with experience facilitating in a participant centric environment, who is continuously developing their facilitation and storytelling skills which drives the effectiveness in connecting learners to our culture, mission, and values as well as on business performance.

    Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor degree preferred, with an emphasis in Human Resources, Education, Adult learning, Business or related discipline.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 5 or more years of experience of curriculum development and instructor-led delivery required
    • Strong self-management skills with a proven track record of creating and managing project timelines
    • Using initiative to achieve goals and meeting multiple deadlines with a fast-paced environment
    • Technical skills sets in working with Systems and Applications
    • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills. Critical thinker with a process improvement and solution-focused orientation
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to communicate in a direct, concise manner

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Articulate eLearning authoring tool experience, preferred
    • Learning management systems program administration experience, strongly preferred

It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
