Responsibilities
We seek a highly skilled Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) with strong developer expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating engaging and effective learning experiences, a deep understanding of instructional design principles, and advanced technical skills in eLearning development. This role will involve designing, developing, and implementing high-quality training programs using various tools and technologies.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Instructional Design:
- Conduct needs analysis and collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning objectives
- Design and develop engaging, learner-centric instructional materials, including storyboards, scripts, assessments, and multimedia assets.
- Apply adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create effective learning solutions.
- Ensure instructional integrity and alignment with organizational goals and learner needs.
- eLearning Development:
- Develop interactive eLearning modules using industry-standard authoring tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360).
- Integrate multimedia elements (e.g., graphics, animations, videos) to enhance learning experiences.
- Customize and develop SCORM-compliant courses for Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Perform quality assurance testing and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure seamless content delivery.
- Technical Skills:
- Stay updated with the latest technology and instructional design trends to continuously enhance course offerings.
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360).
- Experience with LMS administration and integration.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in instructional design, eLearning development, or project management are advantageous.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including SMEs, graphic designers, and developers, to bring projects from concept to completion.
- Track and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Evaluation and Improvement:
- Implement formative and summative evaluations to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
- Analyze feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for course enhancements.
- Iterate design and development processes to continuously improve learning outcomes.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Requires a BS+ 18 years, MS+ 10 years or 24 years with no degree
- Requires 3-5 years of experience in instructional design and eLearning development, with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical skills.
- Requires a TS/SCI w/ Poly

Target Salary Range
$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
