We are working closely with our energy client to identify a contract Instructional Designer, aiming to alleviate the workload of their Learning and Development team. During this project, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with project managers, business users, leadership, and other stakeholders to identify training needs and expectations. Support the development of a comprehensive technology training strategy.
- Partner with trainers, subject matter experts, leaders, and vendors to execute training initiatives focusing on field technology. Ensure the right individuals receive appropriate training using available technology.
- Create eLearning modules using Articulate 360. Develop course materials, including eLearning modules, quick reference guides, videos, and training user guides. Identify appropriate repositories for storage and facilitation of materials.
- Ensure learning and development strategies align with objectives, organizational goals, mission, and values.
- Build relationships with training professionals throughout the company to cross-promote learning opportunities and encourage participation.
- Develop reporting and metrics to measure the success and return on investment of training initiatives.
- Act as a change leader to promote participation and adoption of technology tools, data, and processes.
- Include assessments at the end of various courses to measure comprehension and effectiveness.
Start Date: Mid-February, with interviews to begin as soon as possible.
Duration: 1 year
Hours: 40 hours per week; standard Central Time working hours
Location: Virtual
Travel: 1 to 2 trips to meet the field team
Experience Required:
- Sound instructional design experience with a demonstrated understanding of organizational training design and development, adult learning concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proven experience in leading change initiatives
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word), PowerBI (preferred), Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, and SuccessFactors (preferred).
- Excellent listener and communicator, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders. Ability to influence and drive action.
- A self-starter who operates with minimal handholding, striving for excellence in every aspect.
- Preferred experience in the Oil/Gas industry, particularly within Field Technology.
- Must be able to share a portfolio during an interview

The pay range for this is $50.00 to $55.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
