    The individual filling this role will join a team of skilled professionals that are primarily tasked with developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the web-based training courses that are used by the lab. Examples of the programs and curricula supported by this team include worker safety and health, nuclear safety, environmental, emergency management, rad worker/rad protection, facilities and operations, and business services.

    Responsibilities:

    Responsible for planning, developing, and conducting training programs within assigned areas in accordance with the ADDIE Instructional Design Model. Provides leadership for the training development process and the delivery of training. Provides internal consulting services to the functional units to design and develop their training programs. May serve as a SME for specific compliance requirements. Serves as a formal reviewer of training documents to ensure their accuracy and completeness. Develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Prepares and deploys self-assessment activities for assigned areas and supports internal/external audits for assigned programs. Keeps abreast of federal, state and local regulations for impacts and requirements on training programs. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. Those entering this career series may be tasked with more technical functions with a focus on the practical application of advanced training technologies, such as rapid development and deployment of eLearning content that is integrated within a learning management system.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • BS/BA and 7 years of relevant experience -OR-
    • MS/MA or higher and 5 years of relevant experience
