Seeking an Instructional Designer to design, develop, update and maintain training material. Electrical substation knowledge and/or the capacity to learn this technical topic to maintain multiple modules for the client’s apprenticeship programs is required.
You will:
- Create blended learning solutions using Adobe, Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Captivate, Flash, Dreamweaver, Articulate, Presenter, Engage, Quizmaker, SnagIt, web conferencing technology or similar applications can be used to develop, organize, and edit course material.
- Coordinate and provide administrative support to key offerings associated with corporate workforce development. This includes scheduling courses, establishing/maintaining relationships with SMEs and vendors, meeting/supporting them, and operating classroom technology.
- Provide detailed operational and logistical support to training and learning functions.
- Identify and help lead process improvements
- Keep up with industry standards and IT skills are also important along with working with colleagues, vendors and procurement. Provide training and mentorship.
Start: Late March/early April
Duration: 18 months at 40 hours per week
Location: remote/virtual
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of instructional design experience
- Electrical substation knowledge and/or the capacity to learn this technical topic to maintain multiple modules for the client’s apprenticeship programs.
- Utilities experience
- Strong eLearning experience using Articulate 360
- Experience producing WBT and ILT (Instructor Led Training) materials
- Experience developing and maintaining On the Job Training (OJT) and Technical Performance Evaluations (TPE), Assessments, etc.
- Strong skills in communication, time management, analytics, and training development
