    This position is contingent upon the award of an AFSOC contract. Work is expected to begin as early as September 2023.

    Responsibilities:

    Job Description:

    The Instructional Designer shall provide instructional design support to 19 SOS / 492 SOTRSS, USAFSOS and AFSOC/A3T in support of approximately 3,200 lessons, taught in 130 courses, in support of 73 Syllabi of Instruction (SOI). The contractor shall develop and modify courseware for Subject Matter Expert (SME) Training Change Proposals (TCP) or Formal Course Reviews (FCR). Contractor personnel shall be proficient in courseware development tools utilized by the supported units including, but not limited to, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Cloud and HTML5. The contractor shall develop efficient solutions to meet site or MAJCOM specified changes to courseware requirements, systems, and integration requirements.


    Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

    • Conduct Training Needs Assessments IAW the approved format to include subject matter analysis, identify behavioral outcomes, clarify instructional problems, establish goals and objectives, and identify learning environment and learner’s existing knowledge, skills, and abilities.
    • Identify, develop, and evaluate instructional strategies according to intended behavioral outcomes.
    • Design learning objectives and assessment instruments to include quizzes, end of course exams, and meaningful course interactions.
    • Create and design course content using eLearning authoring tools.
    • Assist with design of the training user interface (UI).
    • Integrate graphics, video, audio, and animation.
    • Provide recommendations for inclusion of VR into select lessons.
    • Conduct small group tryouts to collect feedback and integrate it into the next course draft.
    • Conduct and document formative evaluation during each stage of the ADDIE process.
    • Create summative evaluation documents designed for domain specific criterion-related referenced items and to receive feedback from users.
    • Provide training and guidance for instructors that covers curriculum, learning outcomes, method of delivery, and submittal of TCPs.
    • Prepare learners with training on new tools (software and hardware).
    • Assist with the development, update, and validation of Master Training Task List (MTTL) to ensure all pertinent tasks are identified to meet training objectives.
    • Assist with the development, update, and validation of Syllabi of Instruction (SOI), including Course Lesson Maps, front matter, lesson descriptions, and sync with TTL to achieve required proficiency levels.
