We are looking for a professional Instructional Designer to design and develop learning and practicing experiences for our customer and partner audiences. The goal is to create effective and engaging learning experiences to help these learners acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to be successful in leveraging our software.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and work directly with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and objectives.
- Effective use of digital media, elearning development tools, and other emerging technologies to create and deliver online training.
- Draft storyboards, scripts, and prototypes of training content and proactively manage drafts through proper reviews, updates, and approvals.
- Convert existing documentation and training materials into engaging and effective online courses, designing content to optimize learning.
- When necessary, design and develop customized versions of related content for different target audiences.
- Follow a continuous improvement process for training content including an evaluation method to apply updates to content as needed.
- Expertise with the following content authoring tools to include: Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, and Camtasia.
- Experience in creating instructor-led and virtual instructor-led curriculum a plus.
- Experience in localization-readiness and accessibility standards a plus.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of multimedia learning development and Instructional Design experience in a corporate training environment. SaaS environment experience a plus.
- Outstanding writing, editing, critical reasoning, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take complex technical information and convert it into easily understandable learning content.
- Proven ability to assess learning needs and develop media-rich, engaging, and high-impact learning solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to apply instructional design theory, models, and technical training best practices.
- Proven ability to collaboratively work with SMEs and move projects to completion within established deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to execute on deliverables.
The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado: $71,000-83,500
- Based in New York: $77,000-90,500
- Based in New Jersey: $77,000-90,500
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
