As an instructional designer, you will have the opportunity to utilize your creativity and expertise in instructional design to develop innovative training solutions that align with our company’s goals and objectives. We are looking for a candidate who is a self-starter, highly collaborative, detail-oriented, passionate for designing and delivering impactful learning experiences and has a strong understanding of adult learning principles.
We are looking for an exceptional individual who can:
- Research, design, develop, edit, and maintain instructional documentation and training materials for instructor-led and self-paced learning activities, including eLearning and other digital learning.
- Support the Training team and Training team members on instructional design approaches.
- Engage project team and stakeholders to define training program goals and objectives, complete audience analysis, and obtain approval of final training deliverables.
- Conduct scoping and needs assessment for new learning requests projects plans.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders at all levels and disciplines across the organization to develop educational content.
- Research, design, develop, edit, and maintain instructional content via multiple modalities consistent with adult learning principles (e.g., eLearning, tip sheets, instructor-led training, etc.)
- Support our Learning Management System by creating, developing, editing learning modules including authoring tools, artificial intelligence (AI), video production and editing, gamification, mobile learning.
- Develop learning experiences and programs with well-defined learning objectives that are aligned with business performance goals while familiar with accessibility standards.
- Provide training project management for initiatives that are medium-to-large scale and/or medium-to-large scope in complexity.
- Review data, learning analytics and evaluation data to assess the effectiveness of training programs and implements recommendations for improvements.
- Facilitate train-the-trainer classes, superuser classes, and/or end-user classes as needed.
- Develop communication strategies for training programs.
- Utilize standard content production techniques to design, develop and deliver learning content, including digital learning.
- Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments for various learning requests and needs to determine gaps and define training objectives, audience needs, and recommend learning solutions.
- Develop and execute training plans aligned with organizational initiatives and business performance goals.
- Combine instructional design principles, advanced adult-learning theory, and technology to design and develop innovative solutions for large-scale training projects.
- Research and evaluate emerging learning technologies and approaches.
- Lead multiple training projects simultaneously.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Systems, Instructional Design, Learning and Development, Education or related field
- 5+ years of experience in training design and development
- Experience with using learning management systems (LMS)
- Demonstrated experience leading training projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision
Required Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated expert application and understanding of instructional design, adult learning principles, learning methodologies, and organizational development techniques
- Demonstrated and proven organizational, problem solving, analytical, and project management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in writing original content and editing legacy materials
- Proven ability to lead projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities
- Able to adapt to changing routines and roles (support/lead/administration), as well as needs of the department
- Excel at computer skills: general usability, keyboarding, internet, equipment, and Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Excellent attention to detail in record keeping
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills

- Quick to learn and assimilate information, distill, and communicate effectively
- Able to prioritize tasks to complete effectively and efficiently
