    NSF is seeking to add an Instructional Designer FSAS to its growing team. In this role, you will work with the Program and Development teams, Technical Trainers, Subject Matter Experts and other partners to design, develop, and implement virtual and classroom-based training programs for clients within the food and beverage industry.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops training courses, materials and learning guides using adult learning principles and integrates interactive concepts and activities in instructor-led, online and distance formats to encourage knowledge application and skill development.
    • Ensures the instructional integrity of training projects through systematic design and clear writing of trainer guides and learning materials, with content that fully meets the outlined training objectives, company brand standards, and accreditation requirements.
    • Collaborates with Program and Development teams, Technical Trainers and subject matter experts to contribute to overall program development through project scoping, needs assessment and the development of lesson plans, assessment tools and reports.
    • Transitions existing classroom-based training courses into engaging, user-friendly synchronous and asynchronous eLearning courses within our LMS.
    • Delivers on all stages of a project from start to finish within established timeframes and budgets.
    • Supports the ongoing redevelopment, revision and updating of training programs and provides assessment of instructional effectiveness for all existing and future training programs.
    • Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Education, or equivalent education and experience
    • Minimum of 3 years experience designing, developing, and implementing learner-centric interactive e-learning programs as well as classroom-based training in a business-to-business environment with proven proficiency in utilizing instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
    • Experience with Articulate 360 Suite, specifically; Storyline 360 and Rise 360
    • Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills with a high level of adaptability in dealing effectively and positively with diverse team members
    • Proven excellence in consultation skills
    • Excellent organizational, communication, project management and time management skills to prioritize and manage workload effectively
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects to create unique and immersive learning experiences and enhance visual appeal
    • Knowledgeable in layout, color theory and imagery to create captivating visual content that enhances the overall learning experience
    • Must be able to work independently and be a positive contributor to team environments
    • Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office suite (especially PowerPoint and Publisher)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience and knowledge of food science, public health, food safety, quality and/or food industry
    • Multi-media production skills an asset
    • Working knowledge of learning content management systems
    • Experiential learning experience, integrating hands-on and practical elements into instructional design
    • Proficiency in French or Spanish
