    The Opportunity:
    This job will be focused on the creation of Leadership learning content in all modalities for associate development. Develops and maintains instructional standards, learner engagement strategies and process improvement. The instructional Designer is responsible for the design and development of informative, educational, engaging learning curriculum that supports adult learning. This role will determine best in class delivery methods incorporating multiple formats – ILT, vILT, eLearning, podcast, vods, documentation and more. The Instructional Designer will be skilled at asking the right questions and identifying clear learning objectives to meet business needs throughout the organization at each level of leadership.
    Job Responsibilities:
    • Development of effective and engaging learning content and solutions. Effectively communicate complex ideas, concepts, and Leadership Development information to meet the business needs and empower learners to advance their skillset.
    • Partner during needs assessments working with multiple departments to understand training requirements. Develop learning objectives and create content to support objectives through classroom coursework, self-study sessions or e-learning coursework. Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs and define objectives for a course and/or curriculum.
    • Utilize learning design methodology to generate learning content in a variety of modalities including instructor-led courses, self-led learning, eLearning, and virtual classroom.
    • Develop content using information obtained from SME, leaders, independent research, industry resources, seminars, etc.
    • Audit current course catalog for changes, improvements, and edits which reflect the most up-to-date information on the topics.
    • Develop learning objectives that drive the design and content of each course.
    • Demonstrate flexibility and agility in moving between multiple projects at once.
    • Institutes and leverages instructional design process to drive intake meetings, review cycles and approvals for all courses and materials.
    • Utilize organizational marketing and branding standards within the design of content, resources and courses.
    • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design.
    • Utilize effective storytelling to make content relatable, applicable, and connected to needs of the organization and the leaders throughout.
    Experience We Love:
    • Bachelors degree in Education, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Tech Communications, Organizational Development
    • Preferred Minimum Education – Specialty/Major: Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Tech Communications, or related
    • 5 years instructional design experience
    • Must have performance consulting experience and proven skills in instructional and graphic design teams.
    • Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, time/project-management and organization skills.
    • Excellent computer/technical skill. Proven experience in implementing instructional design best practices, including experiential learning activities, following evidence-based methodologies and principles such as Kirkpatrick’s levels of evaluation, learner-centered approach. Working knowledge of web-based learning content using products like Storyline, Articulate, Presenter and mobile learning applications.
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
    • Ability to lead and develop associates in a team environment.
    • Exceptional attention to detail; aptitude for making quick, quality decisions; ability to remain calm under pressure.
    • Proven work experience as an instructional design leader. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
