    Cox Automotive is currently looking for an Instructional Designer to join our team. This is a remote, work-from-home role. You must be in the United States of America.

    The Role:

    The Instructional Designer supports all Sales and Performance Management leaders across Cox Automotive. In this role, you will produce innovative training solutions, conduct analysis of learning needs, and design and develop effective and engaging in-class and virtual learning materials focused heavily on business development, product knowledge, process, and tool usage.

    Responsibilities:

    Partner with the Sales Leader Effectiveness Managers, Sales and Performance Management Training team, and subject-matter experts (SME) on assessing, designing, and developing training or instructional materials for Cox Automotive.

    • Validate design scope and requirements for new projects.
    • Prepare clear learning objectives that reflect the required performance and meet the business objectives.
    • Follow industry standard (ADDIE) or (SAM) instructional design practices in creating all content and materials.
    • Follow established documentation and content standards for Cox Automotive to ensure a consistent end-user experience, i.e., the look and feel of materials, templates, processes, technology tools, translation, etc.
    • Produce innovative training solutions with a view toward continuous improvement.
    • Develop conceptual and detailed design documents, storyboards, project plans, timelines, and issue/resolution logs.
    • Consult with SMEs and other key partners to create instructor-led, self-study, and/or online instructional content that engages learners effectively.
    • Own the design and production of all training and eLearning content, such as designing, collecting, and editing graphics; built all graphic layouts and navigation in an instructional sound and highly interactive format.
    • Engage power users, SMEs, and facilitators for end-user testing; incorporate feedback.
    • Participate in the transition of learning content from the design/development phase to delivery.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years’ experience designing and developing instructor-led and eLearning materials. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience; or 6 years’ experience in a related field.

    • Ability to demonstrate experience designing and developing leadership, coaching, and talent development programs.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify end-user needs, analyze and logically organize complex information, and accurately transform complex bodies of information into professional, engaging, and effective learning content.
    • Proficient in creating effective and engaging learning experiences using best practices from education, design, psychology, systems theory, and creative writing.
    • Ability to design and develop eLearning modules, face-to-face workshops, job aids, and other performance support solutions.
    • Strong collaboration skills to work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders.
    • Experience managing instructional design projects from inception to completion.
    • Familiarity with instructional design tools, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia software.
    • Strong graphic design and CBT capabilities; ability to develop storyboards, edit graphics and video, and build the layout and navigation in an instructional sound format.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Demonstrated ability to use web-based applications for collaboration and facilitation, e.g., Microsoft Teams, Skype, social media sites, etc.
    • Proven experience using traditional authoring and development tools such as Articulate, Captivate, and HTML5. Photo, audio, and video editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Master’s degree in education.

    • Credentialed Coaching Certification -demonstrating expertise in coaching methodologies and practices.
    • Knowledge of proven leadership models such as, but not limited to, Franklin Covey, Dale Carnegie, or Inside Out Coaching.

    USD 58,400.00 – 87,600.00 per year
