The Marvin instructional designer role will design and develop innovative and impactful learning content and experiences that will help to align with and achieve strategic business goal and objectives. You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment on cross functional projects that drive measurable and sustained business impact.
Experience and skills in adult learning, instructional design, learning technology and multimedia development are needed to be successful in this role.
Highlights of your role
- Synthesize and writes course content based on input from subject matter experts, existing written material, previous training courses, in-depth interviews, etc.
- Create a variety of material, such as courses for eLearning delivery platforms, presentations, participant guides and job aides to support new product launches and ongoing product education for both internal and external audiences.
- Establish metrics and benchmarks to assess the effectiveness of training and provide insight to management.
- Identify ways to foster collaborative learning environments and grow the organization’s learning presence.
- Be forward thinking when designing or redesigning instructional learning programs; ensuring that they adhere to adult learning principles/theory, instructional design theory and related strategies
- Foster positive interdepartmental relationships while supporting their needs for education product development, delivery, and knowledge.
- Stay current on learning and development trends to increase effectiveness of programs and retention of knowledge.
- Review content in LMS to ensure content is up to date, relevant, and following Infinity brand guidelines.
You’re a good fit if you have
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate, etc.) and Learning Management Systems
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design and/or curriculum development.
- Ability to work with required technology, various software applications, Microsoft 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Skype) and Infinity University (Knowledge Anywhere, Articulate)
- A forward thinking and continuous improvement mindset
- Strong project and time management skills
- Superior organization skills and attentive to detail
