    We are working closely with our client in locating an Instructional Designer to create enterprise systems training for several initiatives including a utility industry grid modernization implementation designed to bring all software and tools up to date and to modernize the infrastructure (example manage outages, etc.) The training will be a combination of eLearning and immersive ILT/blended programs based on experiential learning, job aids and other supporting materials and cover systems, operations, business process and policy changes related to the updates and include design elements such as system simulations, videos, etc.

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Instructional Technologies, Education, or Organizational Development preferred.
    • 7+ years of hands-on Instructional Design and Development experience including a solid understanding of adult learning principles and ISD methodologies.
    • Experience with Articulate 360 (Rise), Camtasia, and similar development tools.
    • Strong ability to work cross-functionally and with stakeholders and SMEs at all levels of an organization.
    • Utility industry / systems training experience.
    • Comfortable with ambiguity, conducting research, and learning new technology.
    • The ideal candidate will reside in Southern California but can be located anywhere in the US as long as they work west coast business hours.
    • Comfortable with ambiguity…many of these tools and products are brand new and SMEs don’t know things, they are figuring out as they go.
    • Lots of flexibility as this is a moving target and tons going on.
    • Excellent work samples.

    Start: Early November
    Duration: 18 months with possible extension (multi-year potential)
    Hours: 40 hours per week working standard business hours PST
    Location: 100% Virtual

    The pay range is $50 to $55 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
