    The Position:
    The scope of the project is to collaborate on a project with Southeast Missouri State for their nursing program. This content is essential to the education of nursing students regarding the essential principles, processes, and ethical considerations of organ donation. This content is used throughout the region’s Nursing Programs and has the potential to save thousands of lives through education on organ donation.
    The specific challenge of this project is the need to recreate original content so that it can be transferred to SEMO’s LMS. The ID specialist will utilize instructional design to design, develop, implement, and evaluate instructional materials. They will work closely with Mid-America Transplant’s Instructional Design Specialist to ensure accurate translation and other subject matter experts as needed to help design course material for our external partners.
    Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand learning objectives, target audiences, and project requirements
    • Design and develop interactive and visually appealing eLearning courses using Articulate 360
    • Ensure accessibility of course and/or training materials
    • Work closely with subject matter experts to gather content and transform it into engaging multimedia learning materials
    • Produce high quality structured course
    • Collaborate with the team to ensure the seamless integration of eLearning content into the learning management system.
    • Develop illustrations, graphics, etc. to support course content, when necessary
    • Utilize cloud-based technologies, including Google Drive and OneDrive, for efficient content storage, sharing, and collaboration
    • Potential for other projects to be assigned dependent on organizational needs
    Skills and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, or other equivalent curriculum that focuses on learning
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the design and development of web-based learning
    • Extensive proficiency in the use of Microsoft office packages (to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentational)
    • Ability to build relationships with internal subject matter experts and other stakeholders
    • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy
    • Experience working with eLearning software tools, specifically Articulate 360
    • Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and make them easily understood using a range of learning solutions
