Purpose of Position:

The Instructional Design Manager will oversee Sportsman’s Warehouse eLearning efforts performed across the company including design, reporting, development, analysis, implementation, and evaluate the scope of the various eLearning projects. This position will also be an individual contributor and spend 70% of their time designing and 30% performing management duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily administration and technical support of the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Technical expert on LMS software
  • LMS Administration
  • Provide technical leadership and work with an internal instructional designer, subject matter experts, vendors, and leadership to manage the design and development of learning solutions.
  • Develops project plans and ensures that the resources are made available within the assigned deadline.
  • Functions as a subject matter expert and ensures that effective test plans are being implemented to ensure the projects meet the training needs and satisfy the intended audience. Identifies the root causes of any issues related to the eLearning training projects and recommends and help implements effective solutions.
  • Manages one team member (Associate Instructional Designer)

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Learning Management System (LMS) Administration experience – Docebo LMS experience is a plus
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills
  • Intermediate Google Suite (sheets, docs, and slides)
  • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, and Media Encoder
  • Experience using the ADDIE model
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of various cloud file-sharing options
  • Knowledgeable with scripts, storyboards, graphics, and illustrations

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Instructional Design or related degrees required
  • A minimum of 2 + years of experience in a corporate eLearning environment required
