Instructional Design Consultant Job

We are working with our client in locating an Instructional Designer Consultant to create training and educational materials to assist businesses in their growth endeavors. In the role, you will support entrepreneurs by creating learning tools for navigating the complexities of business expansion.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with the internal team to revamp and expand existing training materials, develop new content, and ensure the effective delivery of educational resources to clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate project requirements, provide project estimates, and manage deliverables within established timelines.
• Work closely with subject matter experts to incorporate insights, expertise, and best practices into the training materials. Conduct interviews with SMEs to gather relevant information and ensure the accuracy and relevance of the content.
• Design and develop training materials, including word workbooks in digital and printable formats, incorporating graphics, exercises, and interactive elements to enhance the learning experience.
• Provide guidance on instructional design best practices, recommendations for content delivery modalities, and strategies to optimize the effectiveness of training materials.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
• Instructional Design Experience: Demonstrated experience as an instructional designer, with the ability to evaluate deliverables, provide project estimates, and manage training projects effectively.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to create engaging, informative, and well-structured training materials.
• Ability to advise on best practices, recommendations, and strategies for optimizing training content delivery to support entrepreneurs effectively.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality instructional content.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and educational technologies.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: ~2 months with possible extension
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: 100% Virtual

The pay range is $60 to $65 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
