    The eLearning Content Developer (eLCD) will be authoring highly interactive education products (courses and learning tools) for a DoD client and responsible for interpreting materials from the ISD and bringing text, graphics, interfaces, animation, and 3D to eLearning. This individual will produce engaging and effective interactive learning products, create course assets from approved GFI, and use content development tools to create learning objects. Must have experience designing Level 3 IMI. The eLCD must have a passion for games and learning technology and the ability to articulate that passion clearly and analytically into training and education. This is a course authorizing position using Storyline 360.

    The eLCD will work under the supervision of the Project Manager or Instructional Designer to develop curriculum and/or performance support solutions using specific technological skills. You will work with a design team to develop instructional and/or performance support solutions. You will prepare new courses, course reviews, and new modes of course delivery. You will implement training products using various techniques, including CBT, LMS, and mobile systems.

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in graphics design, Computer Science (specialization in Computer Graphics), or related discipline
    • Minimum of three (3) years of paid experience developing Army IMI and 3D models for digital LCOs, serious games, simulations, videos, and augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR)
    • A background in designing training and educational materials for DoD, Government, and/or Federal Agency clients
    • Sample portfolio of work required that demonstrates playable samples of previous work experience or development

    • Able to perform multiple responsibilities, step into new roles when necessary, and overcome obstacles under a deadline
    • Adjusts and improves the appearance of animations by altering facets such as light, color, shadow, or transparency
    • Collaborates with other animators, artists, and others to create complete productions
    • Design and produce from concepts to implementation websites, graphic interfaces, interactive projects, and print advertisements
    • Develops animation concept by studying text, layouts, sketches of proposed animations, specifications, and related materials
    • Develops or reviews storyboards or concepts to determine how to best interpret them with animation; devises specific movements and stylistic imagery to match characters
    • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
    • Experience synthesizing graphic representations of complex systems (using Technical Illustration, Infographics, or similar)
    • Experience with e-learning development standards, SCORM (including advanced sequencing and navigation), and ADA Section 508
    • Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of images and copy; resolving issues of arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
    • Keeps designer informed by discussing animations at various stages of completion; making changes; re-defining concepts and techniques
    • Participate in the user interface design, recommending and applying user interface principles to the site’s information architecture, content organization, page flows, interaction design, and navigation schemes
    • Prepares initial model by constructing successive animations, including actions, changes, color patterns, and background to portray the desired effect; obtaining confirmation of model
    • Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials
    • Produce storyboards, wireframes, design prototypes, design specifications, and creative mocks for advanced web user interfaces
    • Some knowledge of the field of human-computer interaction, the principles of performance-centered design, and working knowledge of principles of information design
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to present complex information clearly and attention to detail
    • Understanding of Learning Management Systems, specifically Moodle systems
