    As a Canvas Learning Experience Product Owner, you will collaborate with learning designers and subject matter experts in the design and development of engaging, efficient, online exam prep learning experiences. The Canvas Learning Experience Product Owner provides leadership and support regarding the use of appropriate technologies in the Canvas learning eco-system, technical expertise in the production of courses and associated learning technology integrations (LTIs), as well as training and support to key work partners. The Kaplan learning portfolio you will help build includes pre-college through licensure and professional test prep products.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with Product, Technology, Learning Design, and clients to lead the development and delivery of student-facing affordances and solutions for Canvas-based products
    • Define and drive accountability for learning experience standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines for Canvas-based products that promote quality, throughput, and consistency
    • Partner closely with Canvas Administrator on all Canvas integrations to ensure seamless, end-to-end solutions.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in an online course.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Learning Experience, Learning Analytics, Commercial Office, and Technology to understand the implications of key decisions about learning technology, and ensure that Canvas supports the optimization of KNA’s learning technology capabilities.
    • Develop and maintain a Canvas Platform delivery strategy and roadmap that align with KNA’s Product and Technology platform strategies.
    • Maintain stakeholder communication on Canvas platform updates.
    • Evaluate opportunities for Canvas feature enhancements and develop product strategy recommendations.
    • Provide subject matter expertise, training, onboarding, and support for internal Canvas users.
    • Lead the design and prototyping of Canvas shells based on business requirements.
    • Facilitate client-facing consultations and information gathering for B2B & B2I Canvas instances with specific client needs (e.g. white-labeling, bespoke functionality, reporting)
    • Awareness and appropriate application of ADA-compliant WCAG 3.0 AA web accessibility standards to the online environment.
    • Explore Canvas eco-system Learning Technology Integrations (LTIs) to augment and enhance the learning system.

    Education & Experience

    • MS, Ed.M. or M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Technology, or other higher education online learning-related degree
    • 3+ years of experience administering and developing online learning products within Canvas LMS.
    • Additional experience in developing eLearning courseware as a learning designer is preferred.
    • Advanced working knowledge of Canvas LMS (both administrative and custom development), as well as other industry-standard educational technology tools and systems.
    • Expertise in coding HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript- specifically within the Canvas LMS ecosystem
    • UI/UX & visual design Graphic design software (Photoshop, Premiere, Storyline, Illustrator, Dreamweaver)
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to document and communicate project plan
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with learning designers, subject matter experts, IT developers, production personnel, and external clients
    • Ability to work effectively with teams and/or independently
    • Knowledge of curriculum and instructional principles for online learning
