-

Moodle LMS is the most popular open source learning management system in the world. It offers a lot of exciting features with a lot of customization possibilities. Many times Moodle teachers need some specific users to access their course on temporary basis without being actually enrolled in them. In this post, we will have a look at “Temporary access” enrolment plugin.

Moodle Plugins are the easiest way to customize the Moodle LMS as per your learning portal requirements. You can extend Moodle functionalities in all areas by using different plugins. At present there are more than 2050 plugins in the official Moodle plugins directory.

The Temporary access enrolment plugin includes features from both Self Enrolment and Guest access. With the temporary access enrolment plugin, the users will be able to:

– users are able to access a course by themselves,
– a password can be set to limit access to the enrolment method,
– a specific role will be assigned to users accessing the course via the enrolment method,
– the assigned role is temporary, and users will be allowed to access the course without being enrolled.
– some capabilities can be set as required to use the enrolment method

You can download the latest version of the plugin from this link. In case you are new to Moodle, please follow this guide to understand how to install Moodle plugins.
