    Full-time: $23.00 to $32.00, depending on experience

    Training & Development Specialist Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following – other duties may be assigned.

    • Schedules and conducts initial new hire training for branch staff and maintains the admin function of training SYM in our core system.
    • Assists the Talent Development Manager with developing a curriculum based on a needs analysis study with input from managers, training department surveys, and other sources to determine training needs. Hosts ongoing staff training unless scheduled for departmental training. Serves as backup for manager training sessions to ensure cohesiveness, communication, and collaboration amongst staff when necessary.
    • Tracks, distributes, monitors, and records training completion by all Levo staff to include regulatory training, ILT and VILT training attendance, SALT training, First Line of Defense, new hire orientation coursework, and other programs and/or courses as assigned. Report past due assignments or issues to the Talent Development Manager. Retains regulatory course transcript reports for audit purposes.

    Requirements:

    Training & Development Specialist Skills & Abilities: The ideal candidate should exhibit independence and dependability in their work and innovative problem-solving, training, and planning skills. Additionally, they should possess strong oral and written communication skills and interact positively, professionally, and confidently with employees at all levels. Technical skills and software knowledge are also essential for the role.

    Training & Development Specialist Qualifications: A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess the ability, knowledge, skills, and talents required for a training position—prior managerial or supervisory experience preferred.

    Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to author reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, members, and the public.

    Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.

    Reasoning Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the credit union’s in-house computer system(s), Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software; and PowerPoint.

    Other Skills and Abilities: An individual should have knowledge of sales processes and possess the ability to coach individuals on a one-on-one basis. Strong experience is required for power point and similar training software programs. Lending and/or underwriting experience and knowledge preferred.

    Other Qualifications: This position requires someone who can interact positively, professionally, and confidently with all levels of employees. They must also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of credit union policies, procedures, and products and services. Experience with Articulate, iSpring, Camstasia, Prezi or other eLearning authoring platform preferred. Experience with video editing software preferred. Experience with remote training platforms preferred.
