    Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection, with the minimum in-office commitment being 1-2 days in an office per week. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.

    The Director Development & Learning is responsible for leading the overall strategy for the design, development, and implementation of enterprise learning content specific to include classroom-based, virtual, and asynchronous learning.

    How You Will Make an Impact:

    Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Responsible for all enterprise-wide, non-leadership, learning solutions.
    • Oversees integration of self-paced eLearning and multimedia within blended learning programs.
    • Provides thought leadership and implements forward-thinking learning models to develop and deploy learning solutions.
    • Leads multiple content development teams, directs instructional design processes and key outputs of the team.
    • Partners with business-aligned learning organizations to define policies, procedures, and support tools associated with content development needs.
    • Drives standardized, efficient development and implementation of formal learning content and related best practices, tools and templates, style guides, and blended learning models.
    • Collaborates with Learning Strategy & Quality teams to develop blended learning solutions and ensure adoption of new programs.
    • Partners with leaders to ensure quality and consistency of learning content.
    • Collaborates with leaders and functional areas to design, develop, and implement strategies for post-class learning assessments.
    • Lead large scale learning initiatives with significant business impact, requiring enterprise and cross-functional collaboration and partnership.
    • Hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

    Minimum Requirements :

    • Requires a BA/BS degree in education, instructional design, or related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

    Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience :

    • Advanced degree or professional learning and development certification preferred.
    • This position requires demonstrated expertise in instructional design and project/program management.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a highly matrixed, highly regulated organization.
    • Experience integrating AI and digital solutions for learning and performance support.
    • Experience in Fortune 100 companies known for strong HR and/or learning and development practices.
    • Experience designing and implementing end-to-end learning strategies in a large, growing, and complex business.
    • Experience assessing, selecting, and managing vendor partners to deliver learning programs.
    • 8+ years of leadership experience preferred.
