Instructional Systems Designer job

We are recruiting an Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) with eLearning, Instructor Led Training (ILT), and hybrid training development and delivery experience to support a government contract.
This position will be a direct hire to our federal contractor client.

Work Site: Hybrid
Location/Travel Note: Qualified candidates in the Tacoma, WA commuting area will be given preference; travel required outside local area
Job Type: Hourly W2 or 1099
Schedule: Part Time and Full Time considered
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship)
Security Access: Current Secret, Public Trust, or eligibility to obtain security access

Role and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Support a blended government and contractor team developing and delivering eLearning modules for federal customer
• Support full ISD process to gather requirements and bring creativity and design experience to delivery training products
• Interact with stakeholders, as requested, to verify requirements and ensure products/deliverable meet expectations
• Maintain compliance with Section 508
• Manage training content in shared repository
• Participate in ongoing end-to-end review process to ensure continuous updates and improvements
• Other duties, as assigned

Required experience and qualifications include (but not limited to):

• US Citizenship
• Current US Government security clearance or eligibility to obtain Public Trust access
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred
• 5+ years of related experience eLearning, Curriculum Development, and Instructional Systems Design
• Experience working in a client-facing federal government contracting environment and directly interacting with stakeholders
• Proficient verbal and written English language communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and interact with a variety of stakeholders/teams to meet project deliverables
• Hands-on experience designing and developing training modules
• Experience with training delivery (standup, virtual, e-learning)
• Experience conducting program analysis and reviews for existing and planned training needs
• Experience developing and analyzing student/user surveys and conducting reviews to implement changes ongoing process improvements
• Experience using a variety of ISD tools and technologies such as Adobe Creative Suite, Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate Storyline 360
• Proficiency working across MS Office Suite
• Experience managing content development and documentation in a shared repository such as SharePoint
• Experience with Adobe Connect training webinars or similar distance learning tools

Preferred experience:

• Prior eLearning experience supporting General Services Administration (GSA) customer
• Industry recognized instructional design and/or curriculum development certifications
• Proficiency working with Google Productivity Apps
