The instructional designer specialist is a significant hire for us that has the opportunity to grow with our organization in an exciting way. The primary responsibility of the instructional designer is to partner across the organization to create outcome-oriented content aligned with our learning and development principles. He/She works in a fast paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to extract, architect, and deliver high quality content from our subject matter experts. The instructional designer specialist works closely with Quility staff and field sales managers to understand and design content that drives business results.
Essential Functions (Details/Day to Day)
- Communicate with leaders and stakeholders across the entire organization to analyze learning needs and design content to achieve outcomes.
- Design, maintain, and improve high quality content for our LMS, eLearning and engagement system “Summit”, as well as workshops and other expressions of training across the organization
- Evaluate the content of stakeholders to ensure high quality and alignment with our outcomes based approach.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to create course outlines, syllabi, outcomes and objectives, instructor/student guides, eLearning, performance support tools and evaluations.
- Provide instructional designer subject matter expertise to support development and learning experiences
- Mentor and coach team members to increase instructional design and development capability.
- Function as the leader for work groups and complex learning and development projects independently and with minimal oversight.
- Analyze and report on effectiveness of learning and development initiatives
Competencies (Must-Have Skills)
- 4+-years of instructional design experience.
- Master’s in Instructional Design or experienced candidates with certification in instructional design preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of instructional design methods, processes, and standards.
- Excellent consulting skills to work across the organization
- Experience in coordinating multiple projects among multiple parties.
- Experience in sales enablement, focus group management and support.
- Understanding of SCORM and experience with LMS systems
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in an existing e-learning development tool
- Ability to effectively problem-solve and apply analytical thinking.
