    This position is responsible for the creation, delivery and support of training solutions for the company, with a focus on Store Operations. Working collaboratively with the Manager of Training and Leadership Development, Operations Training and Organizational Development Manager, T&OD Managers and other Business Partners, the Designer develops the knowledge/skills/abilities of Team Members by delivering leading edge training programs and developing training curriculum that add to the overall success of the business.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

    Training Content:

    • Consult with subject matter experts to develop training content in a blended learning approach to include but not limited to job aids, visual aids, eLearning courses, training activities and games, process manuals, multimedia, video scripts and mobile learning.
    • Use creative mindset to find new and different ways to deliver training content.
    • Develop creative, branded and fun content to be used in special events/conferences for the Organization.
    • Regularly review, update and maintain training curriculum to support the needs of the business.

    Training Facilitation:

    • Deliver instructor-led training events in multiple settings: classroom, conference call, web conference, etc.
    • Organize materials, facilitators and support for designated training programs to include, but not limited to: providing legendary customer service before, during and after events for all training program participants.

    Project Management:

    • Manage assigned projects using project management concepts to meet milestones and project timelines.
    • Lead project meetings with multiple business partners to ensure all steps of assigned projects are completed.

    Training Administration:

    • Create surveys to support the Training Team and provide monthly survey reports to the Managers for all instructor-led training classes. Create additional surveys as requested to support specific business needs.

    Required Qualifications

    Experience:

    • 3 years’ experience in coordinating and administering training programs
    • 2 years’ experience in Instructional Design and content development with a focus on blended learning techniques to include but not limited to job and visual aids, video scripts, multimedia, mobile learning, eLearning, learning guides and manuals etc.

     

    Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; emphasis in HR Development, Organizational Development, Adult Education, Instructional or Graphic Design or related field preferred.

    Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

    • Intermediate to advanced experience using MS Office Suite and other software tools required.
    • Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or other emerging tools is preferred but not required.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
    • Knowledge of adult learning theory preferred .
    • Store operations experience preferred.
