As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will make a difference by:

Designing and developing educational and career development materials, assessment tools, and other resources for our clients and their employees that will measurably impact their work and career paths.

Responsibilities for this critical role:

  • Creating and deploying creative and engaging educational and career development materials for in-person, virtual and eLearning applications.
  • Assessing learning needs of our customers, reviewing current materials, and making recommendations that provide up-to-date learning opportunities.
  • Delivering train-the trainer webinars and other related instruction for our clients.
  • Providing administrative support. For example, applications for continuing education approval, coordinating and tracking revisions and re-prints of materials and, etc.

It’s a tremendous opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with our clients on best practices in Adult Education and Career Development.
  • Work with external and internal subject matter experts to enhance the solutions we offer.
  • Develop learning programs that include multiple modalities: self-paced e-learning, virtual and face-to-face workshops, and on-the-job learning activities.
  • Utilize feedback from course surveys and evaluations to continuously improve learning effectiveness and inform product updates.

We are looking for a team member with:

  • Instructional design experience in developing a practical and systematic process for designing effective training for adult learners. Knowledge of industry-recognized instructional design principles, and ability to design and develop instructionally sound material that supports the company’s products.
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods for adult learners, including understanding of training trends and best practices.
  • Expertise in adult learning principles and best practices. Experience developing education and career development materials for adults.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and content creation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write effective course content, proofread and edit own work (and the work of others) to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Education, Human Resources, or another related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience designing and developing curriculum and training programs for adult learners. Experience with traditional elementary, middle or high school curriculum not applicable for this role; workplace training applications is preferred.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office software, and particularly PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with Articulate 360 software.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
