This position requires:
- Considerable knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory.
- Knowledge of accessibility of eLearning products.
- Demonstrated skill in use of video/audio development; development of eLearning scripts and products.
- Skill in the use of MS Office products, learning management system, webinar platforms, Articulate Storyline (360 or 3).
- Demonstrated skill in analyzing training results and needs based on designated assessment strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and collaboratively with internal colleagues and external partners to accomplish the goals of the training unit.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, meet deadlines, and interact with all levels of the VDSS and other State and Local entities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience and skill in interpreting and applying policy regulations and guidelines into course development.
- Significant experience in instructional design, educational design, training development, teaching, and/or eLearning development.
- Experience with eLearning design, audio and video development, and/or virtual learning technologies.
- Established skills in graphic and visual design.
- Knowledge of video development (storyboarding, scripting, screen casting, and editing).
- Intermediate to advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Advanced instructional writing skills with demonstrated ability to write professional, grammatically correct instructional text.
- Communicates clearly orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and strong computer proficiency.
- Experience with online collaboration and web event tools (GoToMeeting, Google Hangouts Meet, ZOOM, and other products).
- Experience with course authoring tools.
- Knowledge of accessibility guidelines in regard to eLearning development.
Additional Considerations
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and mandates relevant to social services.
- Experience in the area of [program/focus] including considerable knowledge of Benefits Programs.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with concentration in Instructional Design and Technology, Education, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
