    The Instructional Designer is responsible for collaborating with the Training Curriculum Team to create quality training material and provide technical leadership in the support of Liberty Energy’s learning management system (LMS). This position will focus on the strategy, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of, and other resources used for instructional functions, as well as support in LMS administrative duties. A qualified candidate will have project management skills and will be self-motivated with the demonstrated ability to work independently and take appropriate initiative. A qualified candidate will also have strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. The goal of this position is to support the Training Department’s mission of providing the opportunity for employees to better themselves professionally.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Minimum of two years of experience in instructional design and/or UI/UX design
    • Demonstrated experience with designing engaging and interactive training using multiple delivery methods;classroom, virtual, and web-based training
    • Proficient in design principles and ability to apply best practices in user interface and user experience design
    • Proficient with visual design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, etc.
    • Ability to write design documents and design storyboards
    • Experience building eLearning content using tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, or other similar products
    • Experience with Learning Management Systems, Docebo a plus
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams are necessary)
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as well as gain new technical skills quickly
    • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts in layman’s terms
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, establish priorities, organize, and plan work
    • Experience with audio and video production, editing, encoding and publishing experience, a plus

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Collaborates with department heads, managers, and SMEs in strategy meetings.
    • Leverages various software programs for storyboard and content creation daily.
    • Develops training material and courses ranging from simple to complex.
    • Deploys Liberty’s content development workflow process when creating new training material.
    • Works on assignments dealing with the routine and daily operation, use, and configuration of the LMS.
    • Manages community areas within the LMS, including functionality, appearance, pages, and settings.
    • Creates and manages the overall course structure and sets up course programs based on specifications fromthe curriculum coordinator.
    • Builds online assessments and evaluations in LMS for courses.
    • Develops and updates standardized tools and reporting for ongoing access to learning information; generates standard and custom reports.
    • Provides troubleshooting assistance for users regarding logging in to the LMS, accessing courses, and resolves issues relating to system functionality and software systems.
    • Serves as point of escalation for support issues, which may include interaction with LMS vendor and other vendor support services.
    • Maintains procedures and policies to ensure the security and integrity of systems/networks.

    Salary:
    $60,000/Yr-$90,000/Yr
    Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
