Artificial Intelligence (AI) based edtech tools are creating the life of modern educators more easy like never before. There are plethora of AI based edtech tools which can help you in managing your online classroom easily. In this post we will see another AI based tool named as YouTube Transcript.

The YouTube Transcript tool can easily convert any YouTube video into text transcript. So that you can go through the chat transcript at any location. This means that you can also check out the video content even in the places where you can’t watch a video e.g. library or train or flight etc.

By converting any video into its transcript you can also reduce the unnecessary talk in between the video. You can jump straight to the point of your interest and watch the video from there on. You can also summarize the content of the video in your digital notebook and save it for a later reference.

You can also copy the transcript and enter that into ChatGPT or Bard to generate video study guides, questions, summaries, and more.

You can access the YouTube Transcript tool through this website. It is available for free of cost so you can easily convert any video into a text transcript. You need to simply paste in the web address for the YouTube video.

The video will show on the left and the transcript will display on the right. Clicking on any text in the transcript will jump you to that part of the video.

However, there are few limitations as of now in this free tool such as It cant generate text transcripts from the video’s in another language.

But overall, this seems to be a pretty handful tool for the modern educators to generate lesson content from the YouTube videos easily.
