    THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE
    The Enterprise Training Instructional Designer is responsible for supporting the fluctuating
    training needs of the enterprise to create an exceptional associate experience and a platform for
    flawless execution, including but not limited to:

    • Collaborating and managing projects with subject matter experts
    • Using creativity/innovation in design thinking to accommodate various types of learning

    styles/needs

    • Design and deliver learning content in multiple formats with emphasis on the user

    experience

    • Deliver infographic-focused training documentation and out-of-the box solutions (e.g.

    eLearning, guides, visual aids, handouts, conference materials, presentations, etc.)
    This position requires a strong eye for detail, exceptional verbal and written communication, and
    the ability to balance changing priorities. The ideal candidate should be self-driven, highly
    motivated, proficient about current learning trends, and capable of meeting quick deadlines and
    turnaround times.

    PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ]
    The Enterprise Training Instructional Designer is a champion of Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision,
    and values, and should demonstrate them skillfully and consistently through the following (as
    well as all other projects/duties as assigned):
    1. Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of training programs, identifies training needs
    and gaps, and works in close collaboration with cross-functional departments to create,
    update, and improve training plans, programs, and supplemental documentation.
    2. Gathers content, writes, designs and updates training content including eLearning, visual
    aids, interactive PDFs, and other supporting materials in alignment with the Enterprise
    Training Strategy.
    3. Develop, create or convert existing training/materials into effective and engaging
    eLearning courses and deploy the content in the LMS to support the business.
    4. Acts as a key consultant and subject matter expert to cross-functional partners,
    providing eLearning and documentation expertise, perspective, support and innovative
    solutions.
    5. Responsible for maintaining document control and record retention for all resources
    created within their assigned business unit/department.
    6. Stays relevant and up-to-speed on industry trends and training-related, technology,
    activities, and advancements through self-development, research, etc.
    7. Develops strong partnerships across the enterprise and cross-functional subject matter
    experts to gather, understand, and verify content.
    THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS
    Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development,
    Graphic Design, or a related field or equivalent professional experience

    • Minimum of 1 – 3 years of experience with instructional systems design for eLearning,

    video development, instructor led training and training documentation

    • Demonstrates success with applying a systematic approach enhancing user experience

    in their training design

    • Experience in designing or editing graphics/photos for training courses and

    documentation

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (O365 preferred), Articulate 360 or Storyline learning

    development tools, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat)

    • Demonstrated ability to bring abstract concepts to life through illustration and

    iconography

    • Excellent time management skills and adherence to project timelines to balance a heavy

    workload while seamlessly shifting focus to deliver on changing business needs

    • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills including communicating edits, feedback,

    and recommendations with tact and diplomacy

    • Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to a wide variety of tasks and a resourceful problem

    solver, able to tackle any kind of setback and obstacle

    • Performs other duties as assigned
