SUMMARY
Sherwin-Williams Consumer Brands Group seeks a Learning Design Specialist Intern who loves learning about new software and creating. Our team designs and builds online Sales Enablement training for the Sherwin-Williams Global Consumer Brands Group. This content includes eLearning development, sales performance support, just-in-time content, instructor-led course support materials, and knowledge management solutions.
The Learning Design Specialist Intern will work as part of the Learning Experience Design team. They will report to the Sr. Learning Media Developer. They will work directly with Training Managers and Subject Matters Experts from Sales and Marketing to build engaging courses while also meeting department and corporate standards.

You will use your unique perspective and individual strengths to bolster the team’s success, while each of your teammates will use their strengths, experience, and knowledge to bolster your success.
**The ideal candidate must be available to work ~ 37.5 hours per week during the summer and ~20 hours/week during the school year**
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Works on projects and tasks pertinent to the business unit’s needs by applying knowledge, experience, and education.
Works with other team members to learn and assist with projects relevant to the department and the pursuit of a degree.
Helps the team in their day-to-day functions of servicing our clients or internal customers.
Assisting with special projects as needed.
Essential functions to be specified at the department level.
Begins with new employee orientation and concludes 26 weeks later with a final project retrospective.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- FORMAL EDUCATION:
- Required:
- Current undergraduate student pursing a degree bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Marketing, or Technical Writing
- Currently has, and maintaining, a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Required:
- Strong Microsoft Office Abilities and Skills.
- Ability to self-direct and manage projects, interact and build relationships across the organization at different levels of seniority.
- Preferred:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline & Rise, or other digital content creation tools
- Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills
